Sales and audience
Dynamic pricing
Set the price of a media item according to what each fan spends.
Dynamic pricing sells the same media at a different price depending on the fan: more expensive for a fan who spends a lot on MYM, cheaper for a fan who spends little. You pick it in the Pricing of a message with media, in a Mass DM as in an automation.
Fixed price or dynamic price
A message without media is free. As soon as it carries a media item, Pricing offers two choices:
Fixed price: a single Price, the same for every fan;
Dynamic price: a Minimum price and a Maximum price, and each fan pays a price between the two based on their spending.
MYM accepts €5 to €1,000 per message, and the minimum cannot exceed the maximum.
The price of each tier
Each fan is placed in one of the five Radar tiers, from No spending to Whale. The price follows an even scale between your two bounds, rounded to the euro:
| Tier | Price |
|---|---|
| No spending | the minimum |
| Small spender | the minimum, plus a quarter of the gap |
| Medium spender | the minimum, plus half of the gap |
| Big spender | the minimum, plus three quarters of the gap |
| Whale | the maximum |
With a minimum of €10 and a maximum of €25, the prices are €10, €14, €18, €21 and €25. The Price per fan by spend box, under the prices, shows this calculation for your message. In a Mass DM, it also counts the fans of the audience in each tier.
How the tier is calculated
The tier measures what a fan has spent on MYM: with your creator, and also with other creators. A fan with no known spending is in the No spending tier and pays the minimum.
In a Mass DM, each fan's tier is frozen when the campaign starts: every message of the sequence is sold to them at that same tier.
It is the same tier as Radar on the fan sheet, in messaging. See Audience and Radar.
Where to set it
In the Message step of a Mass DM, or the Send a message action of an automation: add a media item to the message, then choose Dynamic price under Pricing and enter the two prices. The path, on the left of the wizard, then shows the message's range, for example "10 to 25 €".
To create the campaign itself, see Mass DM and Create an automation.
