Sales and audience
Mass DM
Send a message to a chosen audience, right away or at a planned time.
Mass DM sends a message, or a sequence of messages, to the fans of a creator that you choose: subscribers who have spent more than €50, former subscribers, fans tagged VIP. Open it from Tools › Mass DM, and from the conversation list with the Send a Mass DM button, the loudspeaker icon. A campaign always goes out in the name of a single creator.
The Mass DM page
Choose the creator in the left column. The top of the page sums up her sends: Campaigns sent, Messages sent, PPV purchases, Conversion rate and Revenue.
The table shows one campaign per row, with its Status, its Audience, its Date and what it sends (number of steps and media). The All status, Draft, Scheduled, Sending and Completed chips filter the list, and the search finds a campaign by name. Clicking a row opens its details on the side, without leaving the list.
Depending on the campaign's state, the three-dot menu of a row offers:
Edit, as long as the campaign has not gone out (draft or scheduled);
Cancel campaign, when it is scheduled or sending. Cancelling is permanent;
Delete, for a draft only. A campaign that has gone out stays in the history.
Create a campaign
- 1
Open the wizard
Click New campaign. On the left, the wizard shows the campaign's path, in two steps, Audience then Message, and on the right the open step. At the top, the count of targeted fans follows your settings.
- 2
Name the campaign
Type the name at the top of the wizard, it is required. Once the first message is written, Generate with AI suggests one.
- 3
Choose the audience
Set who receives the campaign, then click Next.
- 4
Write the messages and choose the time
Write the sequence, choose Now or Schedule, then click Send now or Schedule the send. A dialog sums up the targeted fans, the messages and the start time before you confirm.
If something is missing (the name, a text, a past date, an empty audience), the send does not go out. A banner lists the points to fix, and each point takes you to the right place.
Choose the audience
The Audience step has two parts. Include sets the targeted fans: they must match all the rules you set.
the status: Subscribers, Former subscribers, Interested (never subscribed), one or more;
Tags to include;
Spent more than and Tips, minimum total, in euros;
Subscribed for more than 1, 3, 6, 12 or 24 months;
Online at send time, to target only fans connected to MYM when the send starts.
Exclude removes fans from the send, even if they match Include:
Fans who recently received a message, within the last days and hours you choose;
Fans in a live conversation, who wrote in the last few hours, so an ongoing exchange is not cut off;
Fans waiting for a reply, who have an unread message in the inbox;
Tags to exclude.
The number of targeted fans is an estimate. The audience is worked out again when the send starts, and blocked fans or disabled conversations never receive a Mass DM.
Write the messages
The Message step holds a Sequence of 1 to 10 messages. The first goes out at send time, and each next one after a delay chosen after the previous one: a few seconds for a string of bubbles, up to 30 days. Add a message extends the sequence, and the arrows on each card change the order.
Each message has a text of 500 characters at most and up to 5 media, with the Media button. Without media, the message is free. With media, Pricing offers a Fixed price, the same for everyone, or a Dynamic price, based on what each fan spends (see Dynamic pricing). The price ranges from €5 to €1,000.
Automatic deletion is set message by message:
Delete without a reply from the fan removes the message if the fan has not replied after the chosen delay, 7 days at most;
Delete when the next message goes out removes it when the next one goes out.
It is set on a message without media.
Send now or schedule
Under When, Now sends the first message right after confirmation: it can no longer be edited after that. Schedule sends it at the chosen Send date, in your device's time. Until it goes out, the campaign stays editable and can be canceled.
Stop the sequence when a fan replies, on by default, keeps the next messages for fans who have not replied. A fan who replies to the first message does not receive the second.
From messaging, the Send a Mass DM button opens the same wizard in a window, for the open creator. The send then goes out without the confirmation dialog.
The send calendar
The page has three views, at the top: List, Calendar and Planning. The Send calendar places the month's campaigns on their day, those already sent as well as those scheduled. Planning shows a day hour by hour, with the chain of messages of each campaign. Clicking a send opens the details of its campaign.
Follow the results
During the send, the row changes to Sending and shows the step reached, for example Step 1/3. Once sent, it shows its results: Sent, the open rate (Open), Purch., the response rate (Resp.), the conversion (Conv.) and Revenue. Revenue counts purchases of the media sent by the campaign, for 30 days after the send.
The details of a campaign repeat its audience, its sequence, its Send statistics and, for each message, the sent, deleted, skipped and failed counts. When messages have failed, See the failures opens the send history.
Viewing Mass DMs requires the View Mass DMs right. Creating and sending campaigns requires Create and send Mass DMs; without it, the page shows as Read only. The messaging button also requires Send messages. Rights are set per role, see Team and roles.
