General settings

Settings › General sets up the app for you: its look, its language, media blur and dictation. These choices change nothing for the rest of the team. Open Settings in the sidebar, then General.

Interface

• Theme: System follows your computer's setting, Light and Dark force it. The choice applies to every window of the app on this computer.

• Language: Français or English.

• Timezone, in the desktop app: the timezone of dates and analytics. By default, Auto (system timezone). A change requires restarting the app.

Privacy

Blur level blurs sensitive media shown in conversations: None, Low, Medium or High. The eye, at the top of the sidebar, turns the blur on or off in one click.

Dictation

• Dictation key: the key that starts dictation from the reply field. One press starts, a second one transcribes, Escape cancels. By default, Right Cmd on Mac and Right Ctrl on Windows.

• Feminine agreement: rewrites the dictated text in the feminine, when you speak as a creator. French only.

• Punctuation: when turned off, the dictated text comes in all lowercase and without punctuation.

The dictation key is specific to each computer. Dictation itself is described in Translation and dictation.

Account

• Sessions: Synchronize restarts the synchronization of the connected MYM accounts.

• Password: Reset sends you an email to choose a new password.
