Scheduled send

Scheduled send schedules the message you have just written, so that it goes out a few minutes later in the same conversation. Open it with the Scheduled send button in the reply field, just before Send.

   Write the message

   Write the text, and add media and their price, or a voice message, if needed, as for a normal send.

   Choose the delay

   Click Scheduled send, or press Option or Alt + H. Choose In 2 min, In 5 min, In 10 min or In 15 min. For another delay, enter a number of minutes between 1 and 60 in Custom delay, then click Schedule.

   It is scheduled

   The field empties and the message joins the banner at the top of the reply field.

In Settings › Shortcuts, this shortcut is called Scheduled send.

The banner of scheduled messages

Each pending message has its own line: Scheduled for, the send time, then the start of the text. A message with media shows how many there are and its price, and Show media expands them.

The cross, Cancel, removes a message as long as it has not gone out. At the planned time, the line changes to Sending…, then the message arrives in the conversation like the others.

Limits

• A conversation holds at most 5 scheduled messages. Beyond that, the button greys out and shows Scheduled message limit reached for this conversation.

• The delay ranges from 1 to 60 minutes.

• The button does not show when send translation is open.

• You need the Send messages right, and Send media for a message with media, a price or a voice message. Without the right to send, you see the banner but cannot cancel.

If the send fails

If the message cannot go out at the planned time, its line turns red with the reason, and Dismiss removes it:

To send a message that did not go out anyway, write it again.
